Meet Dani from Wild Flow Wellbeing
I never imagined myself as a yoga teacher. Coming from a blue collar truck driving family, I was always the odd one out, but a big life change – becoming widowed at 22 with a 2 year old, chronic fatigue, depression and a debilitating back injury was the first turning point in a long journey of healing and a path that led me to supporting others with the tools and lifestyle that I wished I had learned 20 years earlier.
Hi, I’m Dani, a trauma-informed kids and adults yoga, meditation and mindfulness teacher, laughter yoga leader and founder of Wild Flow Wellbeing with a love for nature, folk festivals and wild birds. I’m a mum of 2 teenage daughters and share our home on Brisbanes Bayside with my partner, a cheeky ginger cat and 2 very loveable red hens that keep me on my toes.

My Courageous Journey
This year I am celebrating 18 years of yoga in my life and 7 years as a yoga teacher, with an epic story of transformation that led me to Bali on my first overseas trip, solo for a month of yoga teacher training just days after quitting my job, selling my car and taking a leap of faith to choose a life that would truly make a difference in the world.
I was being bullied at work and I knew something needed to change, with no savings in the bank, somehow this seemed a viable option. I packed my bags, made plans for my daughter and took off on a wild and courageous adventure of self discovery. It all came together a few years ago when I finally saw the whole picture after the sudden loss of my Dad and some quality time healing out in nature to work through my grief.
Now I spend my days sharing nature yoga, mindfulness, wellbeing and laughter with kids, families and communities all over Brisbane at schools, kindy’s, organisations and community groups and and have big goals to transform the yoga landscape to bring yoga out into the light for everyone to access at every age and stage of life.
Family Yoga
My deep passion is Family Yoga and supporting kids and parents with these powerful tools and opportunities to slow down and connect out in nature. As parents its vital that we walk this path alongside our kids and support them to coregulate their nervous systems and teach them the values of living a more mindful life with room to slow down, breathe and be present
